Currently Bekaert is working closely with Underground Industry in India to bring in highly economical solutions in the Tunnel Lining. Some of the key projects like Bhanupalli Bilaspur Rail Line Project, Tunnel T 49 of USBRL project have been successfully converted from conventional rebars to Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete for Cast-in-Place Final Lining. In addition to this, Bekaert has provided its technical solutions and steel fibres for converting DFCC Sohna Tunnel & Mumbai Metro Sahar Crossover Section from cast-in-place final lining to Permanent Spray Concrete Lining with Steel Fibre Reinforcement which resulted in substantial cost & time savings for the projects. We are also associating with various TBM Tunneling projects to implement SFRC for Segmental Lining which can economise and expedite the projects and reduce the carbon footprint on the environment.
